Maintenance and New Trail Construction Events
Our Trail Maintenance events are in support of the requirements of the park and are generally focused on trail clearing, rerouting, sign and marker replacement, small brush removal and other needs. Plus, we are currently assisting the Park with the construction of the new 4+ mile Spanish Land Grant Trail!
For all trail events, registration is required. Registration for the events are free. For most events, registered volunteers are welcome to camp at the Special Use Area (also called the Group Area or Scout Area) the night before and/or after the event, free of charge.
Most events last 4-5 hours, and usually all ages are welcome (with appropriate supervision). Volunteers should bring a water bottle and sack lunch, and are encouraged to bring work gloves. Normally, we'll be eating lunch on the trail.
